I love the holidays! There are so many memories to be made and the wonderment of the season to the kiddos is like nothing else in the world. With that wonderment comes lots more planning for moms and relying on the brands we trust to make the magic happen! We’re running to and from Christmas programs and other special events that only happen once a year. It’s such a fun, family time and lots of memories are made. We run from place to place and we can’t go empty-handed, can we? Never…so we bring treats to share!
If your family is anything like ours, we have our favorites and OREO Peppermint Bark is certainly one of our favorites. The ingredients are easy to find at your local Kroger store and if you feel like mixing it up, try one of the other flavors of OREO cookies. The possibilities are endless! In fact, last night I found out that my husband loves the Golden OREO cookies! Who knew?! We love the Original OREO cookies not only in Peppermint Bark, but also in ice cream and dipped in milk, but who doesn’t, right? I hope our family favorite OREO Peppermint Bark becomes one of your family favorites! It’s easy to make year after year and with only four ingredients, it’s a quick treat to whip up! I’ll bet that Santa would love these too ! *wink wink
How To Make OREO Peppermint Bark
1 package OREO cookies, crushed
1 stick butter
6 candy canes, crushed
2 bags white chocolate chips
Crush 6 candy canes and set aside.
Crush one bag of OREO cookies. You can do this in a food processor or in a resealable plastic bag using a rolling pin. Melt one stick of butter.
In a medium-sized bowl, mix crushed OREO cookies and melted butter.
Line an 8″ x 12″ cake pan with parchment paper. This will make getting the OREO Peppermint Bark out of the pan easier.
Press the OREO cookie and butter mixture into the pan, on top of the parchment paper. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 12 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
Melt white chocolate chips using either a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring often. Pour melted white chocolate over prepared OREO cookie crust and spread to the edges of the pan.
While the white chocolate is still warm, sprinkle crushed candy canes over it. Put the pan in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to set up and allow the white chocolate to harden.
To remove from the pan, simple lift edges of the parchment paper. Cut the OREO Peppermint Bark into squares and enjoy!
Pretty right? Not only is it pretty, but it tastes fantastic! This is a great recipe for sharing. You could put just a few of these in a treat bag and share them with friends, coaches or teachers!
